Carmen Ellis lives in a one level, three bedroom, one bath house in Orange County. The house has a large deck and a gazebo in the back for relaxation and barbecues. Carmen has lived in this quiet neighborhood for 30 years.

 

Carmen is a caring and calm person who likes gardening, church, and community activities. She has worked in this field for 19 years with RRCSB, and has been a sponsored residential provider with Wall Residences since July 2015. Carmen currently supports one female individual and would like to support another individual in her home. This individual would have her own bedroom that he or she could decorate as they like.

 

Carmen has one grown daughter, and two grandsons ages two and 10. She also has a 14-year-old mixed breed dog name Chico.

 

 

Elizabeth Dandridge - Culpeper

Elizabeth Dandridge lives in a four bedroom, 2 ½ bathroom house in Culpeper County with Alvin Nixon and their loveable and cute dogs, Sasha and Sparky. Elizabeth has been a CNA for over 20 years and has worked in a hospital. She now works as private duty CNA. Elizabeth is a caring and a loving person and is currently assisting one female individual and would like to have another individual live with her. The individual would have their own room that they can decorate to suit themselves.

 

Elizabeth loves to sew, go to shows, read and listen to music, go to festivals, and assist people. She would love to have you join her family.

Chantal Bokassa - Culpeper

Chantal Bokassa lives in a three level, six bedroom, three bath house in Culpeper County. The house has a large backyard with a built in deck for relaxation, barbecues and gardening. Chantal has lived in this neighborhood for 11 years.

Chantal is a quiet, fun, caring person who likes church, writing, gardening and community activities. She worked in this field for over three years with RRCSB, and has been a sponsored residential provider with Wall Residences since April 2014.  Chantal currently supports one female individual and would like to support another individual in her home. This individual would have their own spacious bedroom that he or she could decorate as they like, with cable and television available. Chantal worked with young children for 15-years and she speaks 5 languages.

Chantal supports individuals with doctor’s appointments, administering medications, preparing meals, attending community activities, and encouraging relationships with family and friends. She is married with one grown son.

Christine Mcmakin - Charlottesville

Christine Carter Mcmakin lives in a one-level home with three bedrooms, two full baths and a front and big back yard for relaxation, cookouts or social gatherings. She is a very caring person who loves attending activities in the community such as church, bowling, social events, shopping and other activities as well. Christine has over 20 years’ experiences with RRCBS and has been a sponsored residential provider for five years with Wall Residences. She currently supports one female individual and would like to support another in her home. The individual would have their own private bedroom that they can decorate as they desire.

Donald Nester, Jr.   -  Danville

Donald's home is in a quiet neighborhood in a country setting. The setting offers each individual in service their own room.

 

Each individual has access to a variety of community based activities such as bowling league, and outdoor activities including basketball and ATV riding. Each individual is supported to choose activities of their preference as they become more familiar with their new community.

Lonnie & Tory Fitzgerald  -  Danville

Tory and Lonnie Fitzgerald's goal is to provide individualized care and promote optimum health to the individuals in their service. Lonnie is a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse, who has worked in the health care field for over 15 years. She was a certified nursing assistant and a medication and treatment nurse in skilled rehabilitation facilities. Lonnie has worked alongside therapists as a restorative aid for three years as well. Tory has many years of experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities and dual diagnoses. Tory has been a residential service provider with Wall Residences since 2012 and prior to that worked as a direct support professional with other services.

 

Their home is situated in a quiet neighborhood located less than a mile from Danville Regional Medical Center and minutes away from local restaurants, shopping centers, and community parks. The home has three bedrooms with hardwood floors, a large bathroom with pull bars and an open shower, full kitchen, common area, and a screened in patio with a beautiful view of the backyard. There are wheelchair ramps located on the front and rear of the home for easy access. They have a wheelchair accessible van that can accommodate two wheelchairs and up to 12 passengers.

 

Tory, Lonnie, and their staff are trained and experienced in administering medications and feeding via gastrostomy tube. The service implements a variety of activities that are individualized to help with fine motor skills, stimulation, etc. Lonnie's knowledge and experience as a nurse allow her to take care of individuals with complex medical issues. Tory and Lonnie currently have one opening in their service.

 

Melissa Thompson  -  Danville

Melissa has several years of experience working with senior individuals with intellectual disabilities. She provides a service which promotes an active lifestyle with caring, well-trained staff that assist with community integration, personal care, domestic skills, and transportation to medical appointments and other activities.

This charming home, located in the Hunters Lane Subdivision in Blairs, Virginia is nestled on 23.6 acres of beautiful land in a tranquil, serene area. Boasting a screened- in gazebo, beautiful front and back porch, and its own private park area, this 3550 sq.ft., six- bedroom home also features three baths, an open floor plan, spacious great room, and is wheelchair accessible. It has easy highway access and is conveniently located ten minutes outside of the city of Danville, VA where there are many activities in which to participate, such as shopping, restaurants, movies and other fun-filled venues.

 

Provider, Rita Childress has extensive experience working with individuals with Intellectual disabilities and offers a wealth of knowledge in ensuring that they reach their goals, as well as become an active part of the community.

 

Sherrie & Garry Foye   -  Danville

Sherrie and Garry Foye reside in a three bedroom, two and a half bath home in Pittsylvania County, only ten minutes from the City of Danville. The home has a formal sitting area, eat-in kitchen that opens to the rear balcony, and a den with a fireplace that opens onto a rear patio area. The Foyes currently have two openings.

 

The home is located within minutes of many community activities, including shopping and eating out. In addition, the home is located on a nice street for walking.

 

Sherrie has a degree as a Respiratory Therapist and will be the primary provider for this service. Garry works for a company in North Carolina and is a back-up worker for this service. They both enjoy riding bikes on the trail in Danville, shopping, reading, vacationing, watching movies, eating out, arts and crafts, family gatherings, as well as a variety of other activities.

Angela and Leroy White live in a three-story house in Locust Grove, Virginia. They have two sons, Leroy, Jr. and Terence, who visit often. They live on four beautiful, wooded acres and the individual who chooses this home will be able to decorate their bedroom as they desire. There is one pet in the home, a chocolate/tan miniature pin who is spoiled and loves everyone.

 

Angela is a Certified Medical Assistant and is capable of handling medical issues.

 

The White's are very active in church and love to help the community. Their home is located minutes from the Wilderness Historical Battlefield, the Community Gulf Course, and the Locust Grove Community Library.

The White's are excited about welcoming someone to their home who will become a member of their family.

 

 

 

Tarnisha Bradshaw  -  Fredericksburg

The Bradshaws live in a spacious four-bed, two-and-a-half-bath home in a quiet neighborhood in Spotsylvania County. The home has wonderful features such as a sunroom on the main level and a finished movie room in the basement. They have three children, one of whom is currently away at college.

 

They are an active family and enjoy sporting events, travelling to their timeshare at Massanutten, and enjoying the amenities at Wilderness Presidential Resort nearby. There are a variety of shopping and dining options available locally at Harrison Crossing, Spotsylvania Towne Center, and Central Park.

 

Mrs. Bradshaw has 12 years’ experience providing direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities. She would like to offer someone the opportunity for independence, self-growth, and to be a valued member of their community.
