Barbie, her husband, Bobby, and daughter, Crystal live in a rural area of Gainesville on five acres.  The home is a rambler with a finished basement.  There is a screened in porch with a beautiful view of the fenced in pool and the sunset above the mountains.  A lovely pond backs up to our yard.  Barbie has mini-bikes, dirt bikes, go carts, a golf cart, and lots of bicycles for all her grandchildren and close friends to ride on the open property.

Barbie has been a substitute teacher for 25 years in Prince William County for special education classes.  Barbie was a program manager in Northern Virginia for five years with responsibilities relating to developing the area with both bringing in providers and placing individuals with disabiltis with providers. Barbie supervised the compliance of the providers and the wellbeing of the individuals in their homes.  Barbie was an Admissions/Provider Development specialist for Wall Residences for one and a half years. Barbie was responsible for recruiting and bringing providers through the process of becoming a licensed provider.  Barbie was a TOVA instructor and her backup worker is a CPR/First aid trainer with Wall Residences.   Barbie is the head coordinator/coach for the Special Olympic Alpine ski team of Prince William County.  Barbie was involved with the ARC drama program for 12 years creating skits, plays, and musicals for the individuals and then helping them to learn their part.

Barbie and her family are very close, active, and friendly, and they are involved with church.  Barbie and Bobby want the opportunity to support an individual in becoming all that they aspire to be and to achieve their goals.  We want to do all that we can in helping the individual to feel like she or he is a part of our family and living their best life.
