The Tolbert Home is located in Amherst County on 5 acres in a private community on the lake. The home is located 10 miles from shopping, dining and routine healthcare and 20 miles from hospital and specialty healthcare. The activities in the surrounding areas are plentiful. The Tolbert’s home is equipped with a wheelchair accessible van to provide transportation to/from appointments and outings.
Angie and Keith have lived in the community their entire life. They have 4 Adult children; Zach, Sarah, Rebekah and Jesse and 8 Grandchildren who all live in Amherst County. The home is always full of love, laughter, and family. Angie and Keith share the upper level of the home with their three dogs Bentley (Yorkie), Rufus (Frenchie), and Lily (Frenchie).
The Tolbert’s have been Sponsored Residential Providers for Wall Residences since 2012. Angie is a Registered Nurse with over 25 years of experience in healthcare; skilled nursing in geriatrics, Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Intellectual Disabilities and Neurological Intensive Care. Keith is a Maintenance Mechanic and has been employed for over 32 years at his current workplace. Sarah is a Certified Nursing Assistant and Direct Support Staff and has 10 years of experience in healthcare and is employed full time in the home. The home is fully staffed with experienced Direct Support Staff at all times.
The terrace level of the home has been designed by Angie and Keith to be able to share their life and home with individuals needing specialized living arrangements and care that meet their daily needs. There is 3000 square feet of open concept living and it is completely accessible. The area includes a living room, full kitchen and laundry area, four private bedrooms with a lake view, and two bathrooms (one with shower trolley accessibility). The outdoor living area consists of a large patio area bordered with bench seating overlooking the lake. It is the perfect spot for enjoying quiet time, watching lake activities and wildlife, picnics, cooking out, family gatherings, corn hole, and patio games.
