Kendall and Roxanna Johnson reside at the foot of a mountain on 27 acres in Elon. They raised three children…one resides in Sterling VA, one in Madison Heights with her husband and two children, and one lives in the basement apartment with her daughter. Kendall has worked for Framatome for over 30 years; Roxanna was a special education teacher for over 12 years. Roxanna opened her home to serve as a sponsored residential provider in 2016.

The Johnson family is very active with local festivals, barbecues, canoeing, fishing, visiting the beach, and going to the family lake house. Roxanna and the children have always traveled to zoos, museums, walking trails, and parks. Roxanna would love to add another member to the family that likes to get out and experience new adventures.

The home offers a large open family room and kitchen, four bedrooms and bathrooms, and a loft and game room on the second level where three private bedrooms and two bathrooms are located.  Outside the home, they have a covered front porch with wicker chairs for watching the sunrise and a large covered back porch with seating for watching the sunset, grilling out, and relaxing. The service offers a hot tub for relaxation.  The house is three-tenths of a mile off the paved road which provides a place for a stroll after dinner or to walk one of two loving dogs.

Roxanna has had the same staff in place since 2019. Roxanna will provide activities to stimulate growth and confidence while assisting with choices in grooming, dressing, meal preparation, community involvement, and financial management.
