Armando has been serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for nearly 10 years. Prior to his experience, he worked in a therapeutic boarding school for adolescents for 13 years. Armando has supported a variety of needs and does so with compassion and dedication. He is fluent in both English and Spanish languages. Armando is calm, encouraging, and respectful of individuals he has provided services to. He has experience with behavioral support needs, as well as physical, such as assisting with ambulation, turning and positioning, lifting, and transferring.

Armando enjoys going to the gym, playing tennis, reading, and playing chess. He is an advocate for remaining active in the community and living a healthy lifestyle. Armando also enjoys going to church and supporting individuals to express their spiritual preferences, as well. Armando facilitates individual choice for community engagement and expression of their interests by participating in preferred activities. He encourages others to work hard for their personal goals and for overall health and wellness.

Armando’s home is located in Blairs, in a subdivision in Pittsylvania County. It is centrally located between Chatham and Danville. His spacious backyard allows for freedom to move around and enjoy fresh air. The neighborhood is friendly, and an enjoyable space to take walks or ride bicycles. It is within reasonable driving distance to the local YMCA, various restaurants, and the shopping mall. The home is decorated with warm décor and is inviting to others. The two-level home features 3 bedrooms, 2 and a half bathrooms, a living room, kitchen and dining area, and an office space off the foyer.
