Janet Young’s home is situated on 6 acres with 7 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms in a country setting in Spotsylvania, VA. While the setting feels quiet and removed, it is a quick drive to shopping, dining, church, walking trail, parks, YMCA, and RACSB. Multiple common areas provide the opportunity for socialization or private time as desired. There is a grilling area with an adjacent swimming pool for outdoor fun during the warmer months.

Janet has been a Wall Residences Provider for 10+ years and currently serves three individuals: two men and one woman. Janet and her household are in search of a fourth individual to complete their family. Prior to becoming a provider with Wall Residences, Janet was Certified Nursing Assistant and has years of experience working with adults using medical supports, including feeding tubes. She also has a contracted nurse working with her service.

This home will be best suited for individuals who do not engage in physical aggression towards others. Janet is well versed in supporting people who are incontinent, those who require hands on support, and those with mobility issues. Janet also has experience working with people who are hearing-impaired, although she is not fluent in ASL. While this home is wheelchair accessible, there is no lift van available.

This family loves to entertain and hosts holiday parties throughout the year. Annual vacations and other opportunity for travel are offered to individuals. Participation in church activities is offered. We enjoy yearly trips to Lancaster, PA to see the live show at Sight and Sound Theater, to the Beach every summer, and to Wintergreen during fall or winter. Anyone wishing to live in this home can choose to attend outside day support program or to participate in activities of interest that are developed with the individual inside the home. The service has sufficient staff provides one on one support during activities.
