The Wall Residences mission is to create safe and supportive environments for adults with disabilities to gain independence and enjoyable life experiences. Our team provides individualized services that promote meaningful relationships and fulfilling daily routines.
Wall Residences started providing person-centered support and individualized care to adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or long-term mental illness more than 25 years ago. Our organization saw that adults all over Virginia needed living situations that promoted dignity, healthy lifestyles and happiness.
Wall Residences works in Alexandria, VA to provide compassionate care through sponsored residential homes (also known as family care providers), group homes, in-home support for individuals who live independently or in their family home, personalized day support programs through community engagement and coaching, skilled nursing care, and behavioral support through therapeutic consultation.
Each care model is individualized to ensure every person receives support that best helps them have a meaningful and purposeful life. Wall Residences works to provide this customized care to people with a variety of disabilities and/or dual diagnosed mental health conditions. This could include:
- Mild, moderate, severe, or profound cognitive limitation
- Autism
- Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, and other Physical Disabilities
- Borderline Personality Disorder
- Major Depression
- Schizophrenia
- Bipolar Disorder
