Sponsored Residential (also known as Residential Support or Family Care Providers)

The Wall Residences sponsored residential care providers open their homes to individuals with disabilities across Virginia. Over the years, a network of hundreds of licensed homes has grown to help provide statewide support for individuals with disabilities and/or long term mental illnesses.

Each person who signs up for sponsored residential support with Wall Residences will be carefully matched with a home that has potential for a long-term relationship. Our goal is to provide a stable environment for all residents and care providers. Inclusion, compassion, and acceptance are part of our providers’ everyday process.

The providers are supported by trained and experienced back-up workers to ensure residents always have access to care.

Individuals living in group homes will be supported by a rotational 24-hour staff. This ensures someone is always awake and available to care for the individuals living there. Our group homes are designed to offer person-centered support and a small network of companions.

Individuals living in group homes will have opportunities to build skills, engage with the community, and pursue new hobbies. Many of our group home residents work, volunteer, and remain active.

This interactive and motivating program is designed to help adults acquire, retain, and improve life skills. Through this program individuals have gained positive social behavior, interpersonal competence, independence, employability, autonomy, and a sense of purpose.
