Miss Gamu Gomo is originally from South Africa where she supported her grandmother in her older years as a caregiver. Gamu also has experience working with the geriatric population that have been diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Upon moving to the United States, she volunteered at a home providing refuge to those with disabilities who were displaced following Hurricane Katrina. She also worked as a backup worker for many years with a current Wall Residences Provider.

Gamu is described as kind, passionate, and insightful. She enjoys reading, cooking, working out, spending time at the beach and going to the movies or local parks. She is very with another provider and their family, so she often spends time with them. Miss Gomo is originally from South Africa and does not have any family in the United States. She lives alone, is unmarried, and does not have any children. Gamu believes that being of service to others is her life’s purpose. Gamu stated, “Taking care of people is what I’ve always done, it is as natural to me as breathing.”

The home provides three levels of living space with a main floor, upper-level, and basement. The home has a driveway and sidewalk that lead to either the front door of the home or the two-car garage on ground level. The home has 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. The main level of the home has two sitting rooms, a dining room, kitchen with an eating area, half-bathroom, a laundry room, and a living room. The upper level of the home has four bedrooms and two full bathrooms.  The other two bedrooms are not occupied, and one will be licensed for an individual to reside. The basement is accessed from the kitchen and is sectioned off with a door. The basement has a gym, utility room, sitting area, kitchen, and a laundry room. There is a basement door that leads to a backyard, which has a small seating area. Miss Gomo shares that her neighborhood is safe and quiet. The home utilizes public water and sewer; the heat source is gas. The appliances in the home are electric.
