Janice and Kenny Cox have been sponsored residential providers for fifteen years. They are both up to date with all training and have years of experience. Janice has a history of in-home support for two years and was an EMT for seven. Kenny has been in active rescue for over thirty years and a firefighter for over forty.
The Cox’s are a wonderful pair of individuals who are very kind and compassionate. The couple is very active in their community and church and enjoy spending time outdoors and going on vacations. They enjoy visiting Gatlinburg, Tennessee as often as they can each year. They are very family oriented and involved with their three grandchildren who live close by.
The couple currently supports one individual at this time and want to open their home to support and welcome a second individual. Additionally, the home is also shared with the Cox’s two small dogs, one cat, and a guinea pig. When asked the most meaningful part of being a provider, Janice and Kenny stated, “We enjoy helping these individuals live their best life and seeing them be able to thrive. We have a family in this service, and we want to add to it. We enjoy being able to make these individuals feel included in their day to day lives.”
The home is a double wide trailer with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. This home is located on route 730 and is in a peaceful and quiet environment. This service offers a front deck to the home, a large backyard and outdoor space, and is a one level home. This home is located in Willis, Virginia and about an hour to Roanoke, 35 minutes to the town of Christiansburg, and 25 minutes to the town of Floyd.
