Kanesha has professional experience working in communications and customer care for over a decade. Through her experience, she has gained knowledge in understanding the needs of others by using empathy and compassion. She has effective communication skills and advocacy skills being a voice for those in need. She is a CPR and First Aid Instructor for the American Redcross and has been operating as a proud partner and training provider for Redcross since 2020. She feels this has been rewarding in gaining interpersonal skills and building positive relationships in the community.

Additionally, Kanesha has been employed with Wall Residences as a DSP for community engagement since 2023. Through this, she has had the opportunity to be hands on in the community with individuals watching them grow and learn new skills while supporting and encouraging them to feel a part of the greater community.

She has two children who keep her active and engaged in family activities. She enjoys going to the market and buying fresh produce to cook meals and create new recipes for her family to try. She enjoys reading and meditating, writing positive thoughts and uplifting thoughts. Her family enjoys spending time outdoors. They often go on nature walks in the parks and ride bikes on the trail. She and her family like to go to sports events and festivals where they set up booths and spread awareness about emergency training. In the summer they enjoy grilling out and spending time with family.

Kanesha wants to be a provider because she is passionate about helping others. She is a natural nourisher and is fulfilled when helping others grow and obtain goals that they may feel are not possible. Being a provider is a purposeful career, a way to make this world a better place, giving someone love, support, and helping them feel like they’re part of the family. She feels the most important thing about being a provider is giving someone love and a chance to be a part of a family in a place where they can call home.

The home is a three-story town house in Lynchburg which Kanesha shares with her two children. The entry level has two bedrooms, one full bathroom, and the laundry area. The second floor has a living room, kitchen, dining area and half bath. The third story has two bedrooms with their own bathrooms.
