Luke Laprad comes to Wall Residences having served in the military and currently works as a Direct Support Person in Community Engagement with Wall Community Options. Luke is originally from the Roanoke valley and has returned after many years of traveling for his military career.

He is a very active person, a father of three, and has a wide range of interest in things that the community has to offer. Luke enjoys walking on the Greenway, going to the gym, shopping at a variety of locations, eating out, going hunting, fishing, attending sports events, amusement parks, concerts, movies, plays, and community festivals of all kinds. Having worked in Community Engagement, Luke is excited to provide an active lifestyle to an individual while providing opportunities to learn about all that a community has to offer.

Luke lives alone and has two bedrooms available to support individuals that are looking for a fun and active life. He has two support staff fully trained and available to support individuals in the home. He has witnessed first-hand the joy that being a provider can bring. He has had family members who provided sponsored residential support, and he reports experiencing great rewards for providing supports in community engagement. He looks forward to offering person-centered support and providing access to the community, so individuals grow and learn about opportunities available to them in the world in which they live.

The home is a one level, three-bedroom, two-bathroom brick ranch with a full basement on a large level lot in the city of Salem. There is a large covered front porch that overlooks a quiet residential neighborhood. There is an ample sized carport areas and one-bay garage workshop in the back of the home that opens to a large level lot. The home is close to shopping, restaurants, and medical care. It is within minutes of parks, movies, bowling and other community activities.
