Shirley Wright has over a decade of experience as a foster parent and about six years’ experience with Therapeutic Foster care for children with behavioral support needs and mental health diagnosis. She has had a passion for helping and caring for others since she was a young child volunteering in nursing homes and caring for residents.

In her free time, Shirley enjoys cooking, walking, bike riding, working out, sightseeing, and watching movies. She is also a big football and basketball fan and loves spending time with family, attending church, and volunteering in the community. She describes herself as an emphatic, understanding, and compassionate individual.

Shirley’s home in Newport News, Virginia is shared with her fiancé, and they are looking forward to welcoming someone into their townhome. The home is a 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom townhome with a front and back porch for enjoyment. The amenities of the community include a pool, clubhouse, and fitness center. The home is located near parks, museums, walking trails, restaurants, and plenty of dining options.
