Wall Residences seeks a full-time, experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) in the Reston, VA area for homes in Leesburg, Sterling and Alexandria City, VA. This is a Floating Residential DSP Position that will be working with 1-2 individuals at each location. Scheduling flexibility is a MUST, which will consist of day, evening, and weekend hours. Excellent pay and benefits!
DUTIES OF POSITION:
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) will assist individuals with domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning, meal planning, cooking, and organizing. The DSP will also help individuals enrich their own lives through exploring volunteer opportunities, support with personal care needs, providing transportation and assisting with medication administration. The DSP will be required to physically assist individuals with lifting and transferring supports as well as supporting with exceptional behavioral support needs. Successful candidates are detail-oriented and able keep accurate notes to ensure continuity of quality care. Hiring is dependent on references, an active driver’s license with a good driving record, and an acceptable criminal background check.
