Do you love to make a difference in the lives of people with developmental disabilities? Wall Residences is seeking a Group Home Manager for our new group homes in the Fredericksburg, Virginia area.
A Group Home Manager will provide direct guidance and oversight to the primary functions of the group home including, Direct support professionals (DSP) supervision, leadership, schedule coordination, and ensuring overall day-to-day processes and quality care to the individuals receiving services. The Group Home Manager will ensure that individual support is provided as outlined in the Plan for Support and that internal standards meet and/or exceed Licensure, Human Rights, Medicaid regulations, and Wall Residences policies and procedures. The Group Home Manager will provide leadership and model services that are consistent with person-centered practices.
Additional duties include but are not limited to creating monthly staff schedules to ensure coverage needs are met, managing timesheets for payroll, interviewing and training new staff, scheduling and attending medical appointments, managing and overseeing supply and maintenance needs of the homes and routine documentation reviews. Ability to be available when call-outs occur is required as well as weekend and holiday on-call rotation.
Must have excellent communication skills in person, over the phone, in email, and other documentation. This is a full-time position with on-call requirements that may include weekends.
Hiring is dependent upon excellent references, an active driver’s license with a good driving record, and a criminal background check with acceptable results.
