We are looking for an Representative Payee Specialist or our busy human services agency in Christiansburg, VA. Responsible specifically for representative payee duties and other similar accounting duties. Customary tasks include managing individuals’ SSI and SSA checks, paying monthly bills, maintaining Quickbooks accounts for each individual, communicating with group home managers and others regarding the financial needs of individuals in our care, and similar tasks.  Applicants must have a minimum of 2 + years of similar experience with demonstrated accurate data entry skills and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Knowledge of the representative payee system and/or social services is a plus. Accounts Payable or Banking experience helpful. Must have working knowledge of accounting software, Excel, Word, and ability to work independently. QuickBooks experience preferred.

Required criminal background check must result in no Barrier or Financial crimes.

Full-time, regular position with office hours 8:30 to 5:00 M-F. Competitive pay and generous benefits.
