Valerie Cooper, her husband Armando, and their daughter Sierra live in a five bedroom, 4 1/2 bath home in Danville. Their house has a fully furnished basement and is located minutes from the Danville Regional Medical Center and the YMCA, which is equipped with cardio machines, a swimming pool, and many other amenities for use by potential residents. Valerie and Sierra have been providers for Wall residences for 5 years.
Valerie is a licensed occupational therapist who has worked with individuals with all types of disabilities. Her goal is to assist others to reach their maximum potential and to integrate individuals into the community as productive members of society. Armando has been a Spanish teacher in the community for over 15 years. Together they have many years of experience caring for young adults with behavioral issues. Valerie and Armando have successfully integrated several former foster kids into their communities as responsible, productive adults.
Their daughter, Sierra, holds a degree in psychology and was affiliated with Stone Wall Recreation Center which provides day support programs for the special needs population. Sierra is a co- provider and manages the day to day operations. Their son, Armando Jr., is a backup worker for this service. The Coopers look forward to opening their home to an additional individual.
