Katrina “Kay” Samuels and David Saunders live in a four-bedroom home in Henrico County. It is located on a quiet cul-de-sacs and has a large front yard. The home has a back deck which is perfect for taking in the morning sun, enjoying the sunset, and rainy days. It is complete with an oversized family room for movie nights or entertainment. The community park, lakeside and geese feedings are all within walking distance of the home.
Kay and David currently have no pets; however, they are very pet friendly. Smokers are welcome (there are smoking areas outside of the house).
David loves maintaining his landscaping business and showing others how to gain and enhance landscaping skills. He has more than 17 years of Biological/Custodial parenting experience with ID/OHI disabilities and continues to work hard at Adult Mentoring. He and his wife enjoy volunteering with many Richmond centered events.
Kay has over 20 years’ experience in the fields of sales, insurance, real estate, healthcare and trucking. She has also worked with both adults and adolescents with physical and intellectual disabilities, including their adult age son. She further has eight years of experience with treatment fostering facilities across the Richmond region.
They’re interested in providing supports for male or female individuals in all daily living skills. Some of these areas include community engagement, personal hygiene, cooking, laundry, communication skills, and money management, as well as many other areas.
David and Kay enjoy family time spent watching movies, visiting museums, and grilling all year round! Holidays and important dates are always celebrated with family and friends. Some of the other things they enjoy include landscaping, arts & crafts, painting, drawing, traveling, swimming, walking, bowling, movies, basketball & football games.
