Richard lives in a first floor, 2-bed, 1-bath apartment in Newport News. His neighborhood is quiet, and he is familiar with his neighbors. His home boasts easy access to an abundance of shopping, dining, and recreational activities along Mercury Boulevard and Jefferson Avenue. Richard enjoys going to the beach to find tranquility, either at Buckroe Beach or Huntington Park. He likes exercising outdoors, by walking local trails like the Noland Trail in Newport News. He appreciates time spent with family and friends and notes the importance of connecting with others to give life purpose. He likes to read and describes making music as one of his loves.

Richard is a Certified Nursing Assistant and is actively working towards becoming a Registered Nurse. He has extensive experience in the field, working in nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities, ICF/IDD homes, and mental health facilities. Richard has received training in Person Centered Supports, Behavioral Management, Medication management, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Crisis Intervention. Richard is passionate about providing the best quality of care and assisting others with living their most fulfilling life. Richard is passionate, motivated, self-driven, independent, and loves to inspire others. Richard believes his purpose in life is to pour into others joy, peace, and love.
