Erica Myers lives in a spacious three level home with a level back yard and beautiful patio to enjoy in the spring and summer. Erica’s home is close to several large shopping centers including Central Park, Spotsylvania Town Center, and Cosner’s Corner. The home is also 15 minutes from the historic district. Erica has 4 adult children who visit often. Her son and daughter- in- law live nearby and often provide back-up support.
Erica enjoys entertaining guests in her home often and celebrates accomplishments, birthdays and holidays with the individuals she supports. Erica is a very active member of her community. Erica is well connected and organizes activities with other individuals and their providers in the area. She, and the individuals she supports, enjoy volunteering, going to the gym, dining out, visiting local dinner theaters and visiting the many historical sites in the area. They are all active members of their church. Family is very important to Erica. She supports the individuals in her home to see their families often by inviting them over or coordinating activities in the community. Erica and the individuals she supports also love to travel to include day trips, trips to the beach, and Erica’s native home of Jamaica.
Erica has been a provider with Wall Residences for 13 years and has over 25 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She is well known for the person-centered support she provides as well as her warm and welcoming presence. Erica offers individuals the opportunity to choose the activities they want to participate in during the day including traditional day support, employment or an individualized schedule. Erica currently supports 3 females in her home and looks forward to supporting a fourth individual.
