Bernice Suppey, her husband, 18-month-old daughter, and seven-year-old son live in a huge four-story home in Triangle, VA. The home has seven bedrooms, a large eat-in sunroom, and several family rooms. An individual that lives here would have many different bedroom options where they would want to relax and have privacy. The neighborhood is clean, has a large community pool, and has trails throughout the neighborhood for nature walks. The home is just a mile from shopping, restaurants, and only 10 miles to the large Potomac Mills mall.
Bernice and her husband, Kwaku have two years of experience providing support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in their home. She believes in supporting the individual to make as many of their own choices as they are able and to help the person achieve goals they have set for themselves. Bernice will encourage heathy eating and support the person to be safe, healthy, and happy.
There are numerous community activities to take part in near the Suppey home, such as Special Olympics and ARC events. The family enjoys picnics at the local parks, nature walks and having cookouts with family and friends. Bernice also likes to go out in the community for movies, bowling, fairs and eating out. The family would like to support an individual that has an interest in learning to prepare delicious food and enjoys going out into the community.
